E-rate Update - Mailing of Application Forms

I have just learned that the Schools and Libraries Corporation is allowing schools and libraries to mail-in their completed application Forms 470 NOW to the SLC. This is opposite of what was previously thought -- that schools and libraries must wait until the first day the website becomes operational to begin mailing-in their forms.
The forms are merely being collected and bundled and will NOT be entered, processed, or given any other priority over application forms submitted electronically. They will then be entered manually on the SLC website by their staff when the website becomes operational. We are still encouraging you to wait and submit your forms electronically on the SLC website when it becomes operational as there are numerous advantages to submitting your forms online.
I know everyone is very anxious to have the program begin (us included!). I understand that the start day is VERY close and that we will be notified in advance of the actual date. Of course, I will pass the information along to you as soon as I learn it.
