E-rate Update - Form 470 Filed for PEPPM Contracts

On February 4, 1998, the PA Department of Education filed Form 470 on the Schools and Libraries Corporation's web site on behalf of all eligible PEPPM contracts. Because of this undertaking, eligible schools and libraries will NOT have to submit their own Form 470 for any items they are purchasing from the PEPPM Bid List. They will, however, be required to submit a Form 471 for any eligible purchase they make, or have made since January 1, 1998, from PEPPM.
Very shortly we will be providing you with information about the pertinent Universal Service Control Numbers (USCNs), billed entity numbers, and instructions on completing Form 471 for PEPPM purchases so you can continue to apply for your E-rate discounts. Schools and libraries should submit their Form 471s after the 28-day period has closed, which will be March 5, 1998.
Please Note: Not all items on PEPPM will be eligible for E-rate discounts. It will be the responsibility of the purchaser and the entity submitting the Form 471 to make sure that items for which they are requesting E-rate discounts are indeed eligible for those discounts.
