E-rate Update - Nov. 9 Satellite Teleconference for Vendors and Customers

NOV. 9 SATELLITE TELECONFERENCE FOR VENDORS AND CUSTOMERS;
SLC URGENTLY SEEKING DOWNLINK SITES
The Schools and Libraries Corporation is airing a special satellite video training conference for E-rate vendors and their customers on November
9, 1998, from 1pm to 5pm EST. The videoconference will cover each step of the E-rate process from funding commitments through
implementation of discounts, with a special focus on the important roles that both vendors and applicants play in each step.
URGENT: If your school, library, state distance learning network, or business can provide one or more downlink sites for this
videoconference, please email Jack Jones at SLC ASAP. Include your site location(s) and contact information, and we will
include it on a list for participants who inquire. Your help is greatly appreciated.
The November 9 videoconference will be available in analog format on Galaxy 6, Channel 12 Vertical, 99 degrees west at 3940 Mhz. Audio is
available at 6.8 Mhz. PBS is the uplink company. The name of the program is "Getting Paid: E-rate for Vendors." During the
videoconference, viewers will have the opportunity to fax in questions toll-free to SLC presenters at 800-228-6302. The videoconference will
also be taped, and tapes will be available on on a free loan basis upon request after the broadcast.
The November 9 videoconference is part of a series of SLC training events for vendors and service providers during the month of November.
