Walk Through All New Forms; Learn New Changes to the Program
E-rate Year 3 is fast approaching and therefore from September 30 -
October 8, 1999, the Office of Educational Technology will hold E-rate Year
3 Workshops around the state to assist applicants understand the new forms
and learn the major changes to the program. Please note: These workshops
are not designed for individuals who are new to the E-rate program. We will
hold one or two large workshops in Harrisburg the middle of October to
explain every detail of the E-rate program and assist applicants with
completing their applications. The SLD also is hosting regional national
E-rate workshops, but the closest one to PA is in Boston. If you are
interested in attending any of these workshops, information is available on
their web site at www.sl.universalservice.org.
All schools, both public and private, and all libraries are strongly
encouraged to attend one of the E-rate workshops to prepare for filing the
new E-rate forms as soon as they are available.
The workshops also will cover the PA MOUS 2000 Training and Certification
Initiative, and Information Technology Workforce Development
(the L2L higher education grant). On-line registration information is
included at the end of this message.
Workshops will be held on these dates in these cities.

October 1 - Pittsburgh (West) Holiday Inn - Pittsburgh International Airport
October 5 - Williamsport - Sheraton Inn (Radisson) Williamsport

http://invest.iup.edu/99workshops. Please register at least 72 hours in
advance of the workshop. An agenda and a location map are also available on

A buffet lunch will be provided at noon to pre-registered attendees, but
