E-rate Workshop for Beginners Scheduled for October 15
Message Posted October 4, 1999
Due to the significant turnover in personnel who previous completed E-rate
applications, and numerous individuals new to the E-rate program, the Office
of Educational Technology has scheduled a one-day workshop on October 15 at
the PA Department of Education in Harrisburg to assist applicants with
understanding the program.
This full-day workshop is designed for education and library personnel new
to the E-rate program. It will cover the general concepts of the program,
key terms, eligible services, the new applications line-by-line, calculating
discounts, competitive bidding requirements, how to apply online, where to
go for help, how to get reimbursed, etc. Everything an E-rate applicant
ever wanted to know will be presented during this day.
Registration should be done online at
http://www.invest.iup.edu/cgi-bin/event?ACTION=REGISTERFORM . Education,
library and service provider personnel are welcome to attend and there is no
fee for this workshop. However, we ask that you register 72 hours in
advance in order to reserve your seat and handouts.
Directions to PDE are located under the Lodging tab of the registration web
site.
