SLD Board Votes to Fund All Eligible Requests Filed in Year 2 Window

Although I was not in attendance at the SLD board meeting this morning, I
have received a report from another state that the SLD board voted today to
fund all eligible requests filed during the filing window. As you know, as
of their last estimate, they would only be able to fund internal connections
requests to applicants with a 50% discount and above.
Apparently approx. 20% of the total originally
requested isn't getting funded through a combination of denied requests,
trimmed requests and a few hundred cases in which people hedged their bets
by filing both online and on paper. There may be a slight possibility that a
few applications filed just outside the window may be funded as well.
We are awaiting an official statement from the SLD about this news, but for
now, it appears that everyone who filed successful applications during the
Year 2 filing window will be funded, regardless of discount level.
