3 E-rate Workshops for Beginners Scheduled -- Register Now
Message Posted September 13, 2000
Due to the high numbers of school and library personnel new to the E-rate program, and a significant turnover in personnel who previously completed E-rate applications, the Office of Educational Technology has scheduled 3 full-day workshops - East, Central and West - to assist applicants with understanding every aspect of the program. (Note: There will be other 1/2 day workshops announced very soon for E-rate Veterans that will cover Year 4 Changes, Tips, Raising Discounts, State Telecom Contract, etc.)
Business managers, technology coordinators, library personnel and service providers -- anyone that will be handling E-rate applications/discounted billing -- are welcome to attend and there is no fee for this workshop. However, you must register online 72 hours in advance in order to reserve your seat and you MUST commit to attending the entire workshop -- from 9:00 - 4:00. In exchange for this commitment, you will receive a comprehensive 3-inch E-rate Binder that contains copies of the powerpoint presentations, fact sheets, forms, sample letters, etc. Lunch also will be provided. Seating is limited, so please register early. Registration will begin at 8:30, and the presentation will be held from 9 - 4.
