Congratulations to the final school receiving E-rate Year 3 Funding -- the
Scranton Hebrew Day School for $3,439.97. With this award, Pennsylvania's
Year 3 total funding reaches $52,216,597.94 for 1319 applications.
For Year 3, the SLD was able to fund all telecommunications services and
Internet access requests, but only was able to fund internal connections
requests to the 82% discount level.
This is the final funding wave for Year 3, and all schools and libraries
that submitted applications within the Year 3 471 window already should have
received a Funding Commitment Decision Letter from the SLD.
If you submitted a Form 471 within the Year 3 window and received a Receipt
Acknowledgement Letter, but were not included in any of the 29 Year 3
funding waves, e-mail me at jtritt@state.pa.us as soon as possible so I can
alert the SLD. There are a few outstanding applications, and affected
applicants should have been personally contacted by the SLD to discuss these
situations personally.
As for everyone who was funded in Year 3 -- congratulations. The next step
is to file a Form 486 for each FRN and then either wait to have discounts
applied to bills, or submit Form 472 BEAR forms either quarterly,
semi-annually, or after you receive your June, 2001 bill. The final day to
submit a BEAR or invoice likely will be in November, 2001.
And please don't forget that the Year 4 application process has begun. The
deadline to have the Form 471 postmarked is January 18, 2001, and therefore
you will want to file your Form 470 no later than December 15.
