SLD Client Service Bureau Open January 13, 14 and 15 to Assist Applicants

As you know, the SLD maintains a toll-free help-desk (called the Client Service Bureau) number in order to assist applicants with their E-rate applications. Because January 18 is the final day to submit Year 4 Form 471's, the Client Service Bureau will be open on Saturday, January 13 and Sunday, January 14 from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM EST. The Client Service Bureau will also be open from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM EST on Monday, January 15.

The SLD's Client Service Bureau is available to assist applicants, but they have been known to provide incorrect advice from time to time. If you feel the person on the phone is unsure of their answer or seems unable to assist you, ask for their supervisor or to speak to someone in the Technical Client Services Bureau. Toll-Free Number Experiencing Technical Difficulties
This week, the CSB's toll-free number has been having some technical difficulties. After you call the number, there is silence... In most cases, the number has become operational within a few hours after first being reported. In order to tell when the number is operational again, the SLD has been posting a message on their website at: www.sl.universalservice.org.
