eTechPlanner Training Being Held on May 7 in Harrisburg

According to recent clarification by the SLD, E-rate applicants must have a completed, updated technology plan before they submit the Form 470 Request for Services, and that plan must then be approved before the start of services. For most entities, this means that they must have a technology plan by mid-November -- mid-January (the likely months when applicants submit Form 470s) and then it must be approved by July 1 (the likely date when discounted services begin).
According to our records, this message applies to about 200 Pennsylvania districts whose technology plans will expire between July 1, 2001 and July 1, 2002. If you are one of those districts, we strongly recommend that you attend this comprehensive training session so you can begin your plan as soon as possible.
There will be eTechPlanner training on May 7 from 1:30 - 5:00 at the Harrisburg Marriott. The training is being held in conjunction with the Students Achieving Standards pre-grant conference that same day, and the Grant Writing Conference being held on May 8 and 9th.
