Telecom Specialist Joins Ed Tech Team

It is my pleasure to introduce you to Mark Santayana, the newest addition to the Office of Educational Technology staff. Mr. Santayana is the new telecommunications policy specialist, and will be focusing on several important issues such as E-rate, the state's telecommunications contract, and assisting school districts who are experiencing problems with their telecommunications carriers.
Prior to joining the Office, Mr. Santayana worked with various telecommunications and technology providers as a Senior Level Telecommunications Regulatory Consultant. In addition, he worked 17 years in the private sector for an Independent Local Exchange Carrier; Commonwealth Telephone Company, a Competitive Local Exchange Carrier; CTSI and a Broadband Local Exchange Carrier; and Eurekabroadband/GGN. During his tenure with these companies he managed multi jurisdictional State Regulatory Relations and Public Affairs Departments. Additionally, Santayana has
