Approved 90% Internal Connections Requests Will Be Fully Funded for Year 5

The SLD today announced that they have enough funding to fully fund all approved requests for internal connections for applicants with a 90% discount. As you recall, initial demand was substantially more than available funding, and the SLD was considering pro-rating requests for 90% discount requests for internal connections. Due to reduction in amounts requested, PIA scrutiny, and the SLD committing slightly over the $2.25 billion cap, they are able to fully-fund the approved 90% requests.
Funding Commitment Decisions Letters (FCDLs) for Wave 13 will be issued on Tuesday, October 8, 2002. Applicants with Internal Connections funding requests at 90% who were issued "As Yet Unfunded" designations on previous FCDLs should be issued second FCDLs with decisions on these requests, although they might not all be issued in Wave 13. Although seen as unlikely to receive funding, the SLD has not yet ruled on discounts in the upper 80% bands.
