SLD Extends Year 8 E-rate Window to Friday, February 18, 2005

The SLD has announced that they are extending the Form 471 Filing Window to
Friday, February 18, 2005 at midnight, EST. This means that all Form 471s
must be postmarked by this date. The Item 21 attachments may be mailed,
faxed, or e-mailed after the close of the window.
The window extension is due to the fact that two weeks ago, the SLD faxed a
"Year 8 Letter to the Field" that contained incorrect filing deadlines. In
order to correct the problem, they decided to extend the window by one day.
Their Letter to the Field is supposed to be resent to everyone in their
databases, although I don't think it's happened yet. In the meantime, you
can read the letter at:

encourage you to do so as it contains some important information.
