Year 10 E-rate Training for Veterans Scheduled

Two E-rate Update Sessions for E-rate Veterans
For applicants that already are familiar with E-rate, there will be two, 2-hour statewide webinars held to provide information on Funding Year 10, including changes to the program, updates to the eligible services list, demonstration of the new online BEAR form, and general reminders as we hear into the new application cycle. There will be ample time for Q & A.
Both webinars will be identical in content and all E-rate contacts not attending the beginners training are encourage to participate in one of the two sessions. For individuals that may not be familiar with webinars, you simply log-in to a pre-announced website where you will view the training online from the comfort of your own computer (additional details about participating in the webinar are below*).
Thursday, October 12, 2006 - 10:00 a.m.- noon
Wednesday, November 1, 2006 - 1:30 - 3:30 p.m.
Pre-Registration is required at: http://www.pdewebinars.org/index.lasso (click 'More' under Year 10 E-rate Update for Veterans at the bottom of the page). There are 250 seats available for each training and if those become filled, we will schedule a third session in November.
If you are new to E-rate and need comprehensive training, please register for one of the E-rate Training for Beginners sessions that will announced shortly.

IF YOU HAVE NEVER ATTENDED A WEBINAR, please visit the RESOURCES section of the PDE Webinar website at: http://www.pdewebinars.org for the SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS and set up instructions included in the Introduction to Webinars link (http://downloads.chesco.net/powerpoint/IntroductiontoWebinarsR.ppt). A headset with microphone or external speakers and microphone are strongly recommended to enhance your Webinar experience.
DAY OF THE WEBINAR
- Make sure you have successfully configured your computer before the scheduled date and time.
- Connect your speakers, microphone and/or headset before joining the Webinar.
- Return to the www.pdewebinars.org website and locate the Year 10 E-Rate Update for Veterans advertisement. Be sure to scroll down to view the November 1st session as needed.
- Click on the More button
- Click on the Join button
- Enter your first name and email address where it asks for the User Name (ex: Nancy – nc@mymail.com) and leave the password blank. We are asking you to use your EMAIL ADDRESS as your USERNAME when you log into these meetings so that we may efficiently respond to your questions.
