Attn Libraries Only: NSLP School District Data Available
Message Posted January 18, 2007
Because libraries calculate their E-rate discounts based on the simple average of the total number of students enrolled and the total number of students eligible for NSLP in the school district in which their library building is located, they do not need the individual school building data to complete the Block 4 of the Form 471.
In an effort to make this process as easy as possible for libraries in the Commonwealth, attached is a report that shows the total enrollment and free & reduced eligibility percentages at the school district level only. The list is sorted by county, then by district.
Taking the simple average figure, the library should then use the Discount Matrix (http://www.e-ratepa.org/Docs/discount%20matrix.doc) to determine the E-rate discount for their individual library building.
Please keep in mind that this spreadsheet will not assist schools in any way. The school NSLP data can be found at: http://www.e-ratepa.org/discount_calc.htm.
Only 20 filing days left!
