E-rate Workshops for Beginners Scheduled - Register LATER
Message Posted July 15, 2008
Due to the high numbers of school and library personnel new to the E-rate program, three in-person, full-day training workshops will be presented this fall to assist new applicants. The morning of each training will contain details of program rules, eligibility issues, discount calculations, and each step of the program. The afternoon will include detailed training on each of the E-rate forms. This message is to simply alert you to the dates and locations of the training sessions; registration details will follow in a few weeks.
Check-in will begin at 8:30 a.m., with the workshop running from 9 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Each attendee will receive a comprehensive 3-inch E-rate Binder that contains copies of the PowerPoint presentation, fact sheets, forms, sample letters, tips, etc.
There also will be several webinars scheduled to provide updates and training for veteran E-rate applicants and those details will be announced later. This year's veterans training will focus heavily on E-rate audits and what your school or library should to do now to ensure you can pass an audit.
Dates and Locations for Beginners Training:
* Westmoreland IU 7, Greensburg: Monday, October 6
* Capital Area Intermediate Unit 15, Summerdale (Harrisburg area): Friday, October 17
* Chester County IU 24, Downingtown: Wednesday, October 22
