Reminder: E-rate Update: Tues., October 27 from 1 - 3

On Tuesday, October 27 from 1 - 3 p.m., an E-rate Update Webinar will be held at http://vclass.cciu.org. No pre-registration is required and all PA schools and libraries are welcome to attend. If you have any questions or topics you'd like to have addressed during the webinar, please e-mail them to jtschell@comcast.net before 9 a.m. on Tuesday.

These important topics, and more, will be discussed:
* Newly-Enacted Amendments to CIPA Law
* Updates to the Eligible Services List
* Changes to E-rate Audits
* Proposed Form 471 Window Dates
* New Procedures for When Applicants Can Increasing their Funding Requests
* Form 486 and BEAR Deadlines and Extension Requests
* Technology Plan Deadlines
* Extension of PEPPM Contract
* P2 Funding Threshold for FY 2008 and 2009
* There will be ample time for Q & A!

For individuals that may not be familiar with webinars, you simply log-in to a pre-announced website where you will view the training online from the comfort of your own computer (I'll be presenting a PowerPoint and taking live written and voice questions). Detailed instructions are listed below in order to participate the day of the event.

Please go to http://vclass.cciu.org and click on the NAME OF MEETING link under the Meeting Name Column. (You may join the room 30 minutes prior to the start time).
Connect your speakers, microphone and/or headset before joining the Webinar.
Go to: http://vclass.cciu.org and locate the course.
Use your First and Last Name as your Login Name and click "Log In" (there is no password for this session).
You will automatically be taken to the Elluminate Session where the presentation will be held.
