Form 471 Window Dates Set for FY 2010

The SLD has just announced that the Funding Year 2010 E-rate Form 471 filing window opened at noon TODAY (December 3) and will close at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, February 11, 2010. The FCC released the new Eligible Services List last night and as soon as I can obtain some clarifications, I'll send a summary message to the listserve.

If you haven't done so already, please post your Form 470 as soon as possible and don’t wait until the last possible minute. The last possible day (technically) to post a Form 470 is January 14, 2010. Don't wait this long! If you do, you will only have a few hours after your 28 day waiting period has ended to select your service providers, have your board approve the contract (if required), negotiate service arrangements, have all contracts signed, and file your Form 471 by the close of the filing window on the very same day. (We have 767 Form 470's posted so far this year. Last year we had a total of more than 1775 posted by the deadline, which tells me that less than half of our applicants have posted their 470's.)
