Year 12 (2009-2010), Waves 43, 44 & 45 E-rate Funding Committed
Message Posted March 23, 2010

~ No PA Funding in Wave 42 ~

* Note: FY 2009 funding commitments are winding down. There are 95 PA entities that still have not received funding for some or all of their priority 1 funding requests, for a total of 348 individual funding requests. USAC continues to process these applications and will send funding commitments on a weekly basis until all funding requests have been resolved. Please know that we continue to urge USAC to process these final applications on an expedited basis, even as they are processing FY 2010 applications.

Congratulations to the following 23 Pennsylvania schools that will be receiving Year 12, Waves 43, 44 & 45 E-rate Funding Commitment Letters, totaling $3,347,169.03 (no PA applicants were funded in Wave 42). A summary of each commitment is listed below. All Year 12 correspondence is YELLOW.

A wave will be arriving every week until the Year 12 funding is exhausted. This wave consists of requests for Priority 1 services (telecom and Internet). There are more waves coming, and your commitment will be in one of the upcoming waves.

The next step for those entities funded in Waves 1-45 will be to file the Form 486 which tells the SLD it's OK to pay invoices, who approved your technology plan, and that you are CIPA compliant. The Online Form 486 for FY 2009 is available at http://www.slforms.universalservice.org/Form486exp/SearchEntity.aspx. And because the funding year has begun, there is no requirement to check 6A on the form which indicated early filing. For tips on filing the 486 and an example of a completed form, see: http://www.e-ratepa.org/Listserve-Archive/2009/05-11-09.htm.
