FY 2010, Waves 50 - 53 E-rate Funding Committed!

In the last few weeks, USAC has released several small funding waves for FY 2010 in an effort to close out that funding year before the FY 2011 commitments begin. Congratulations to the following 14 Pennsylvania schools that have received or will be receiving FY 2010 (Year 13), Waves 50 - 53 E-rate Funding Commitment Letters, totaling $1,523,002 (Wave 49 contained no PA funding). A summary of each commitment is listed below. All FY 2010 correspondence will be sent in PINK.
This wave consists of requests for Priority 1 services (telecom and Internet) and Priority 2 (internal connections and basic maintenance of internal connections). The USAC board has recommended that P2 FRNs be funded down to the 81% level, and deny requests at 80% and below but the FCC has not yet approved that recommendation.
The next step for those entities funded in Waves 1-53 will be to file the Form 486 which tells the SLD it's OK to pay invoices, who approved your technology plan, and that you are CIPA compliant. The Online Form 486 for FY 2010 is available and applicants listed below may file the form NOW as long as your technology plan has been approved.
