SLD Announces E-rate Training Dates - Register Now

Although PDE-sponsored E-rate training will be held in Pennsylvania during the months of October and November for both beginners and veteran applicants, the SLD has just announced a one-day training session in Washington, DC on October 1, 2012 at the Renaissance Arlington Capital View Hotel in Arlington, VA (Crystal City). Registration on the SLD website (http://www.usac.org/sl/about/outreach/default.aspx) just opened and will only accommodate 200 registrants (so if you would like to attend, register soon). Negotiated prices for hotel rooms also are listed on the SLD website.
The comprehensive agenda has not yet been released, but the USAC website states the training will include a beginner's session to introduce the program and application process, common areas of concern for applicants, and topics of particular interest this year. The training materials will be posted to the USAC website prior to the training for you to download, print and take with you to the training.
Although they are offering a brief beginners session, it's been my experience that if you are truly a beginner, you may want to wait and register for one of the PA E-rate trainings for beginners, which will be announced in August.
The SLD will be holding additional -- identical -- trainings in various US cities, including Newark, through early November as follows:
• Dallas, TX - Tuesday, October 9
• St. Louis, MO – Tuesday, October 16
• Atlanta, GA - Thursday, October 18
• Newark, NJ – Tuesday, October 23
• Minneapolis, MN – Tuesday, October 30
• Portland, OR – Thursday, November 1
• Los Angeles, CA – Wednesday, November 7
