Form 471 Window Dates Set for FY 2013

The SLD has announced that the Funding Year 2013 E-rate Form 471 filing window will open at noon on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 and will close at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2013.
The absolute final day to post a Form 470 is February 14, which will give you exactly 24 hours to open bids, sign contracts, and file the 471 and Item 21 attachments. My advice continues to be to have your Form 470 posted by Thanksgiving to get your 28-day clock ticking, then evaluate your proposals, select a vendor, obtain board approval (if needed) and submit your Form 471 in February. Please, please don't wait until February to file your 470. In mid-December I will send a list to the listserve showing all of the PA applicants that have filed 470's so far for FY 2013.
