PDE Posts Wave 3 E-Rate Funding Commitment Recipients
Message Posted December 22, 1998
The following are Pennsylvania's schools and libraries that have received or will be receiving E-rate funding commitment letters during Wave 3. If your institution has not received a letter in any of these first three waves, don't be alarmed. I understand there are to be at least six waves through the end of January, including the first three. Pennsylvania probably will be recieving more than 1800 letters, of which only 450 have been mailed.
When you receive your funding commitment letters, don't forget to file the Form 486 as soon as possible to begin the discount implementation process.
Also, I wouldn't be too worried about it now, but after the holidays you should begin thinking about filing your Form 470s for services you want to begin in July, 1999. The last day to file a Form 470 is Feb. 9 and then the last day to file a Form 471 is March 11.
