Additional E-rate Workshop Scheduled; E-rate changes to be announced

All Schools Districts, Charter Schools and AVTSs Encouraged to Apply for
Year 4 E-rate
BEGINNERS
As you know, we scheduled 3 full day workshops for E-rate Workshops for
Beginners to attempt to have all 501 school districts, all AVTSs and a
significant percentage of nonpublic schools apply for E-rate in Year 4.
Amazingly, the sessions scheduled for Harrisburg and Easton are filled to
capacity and there are only 50 seats remaining for the Nov 1 session at IU 7
in Greensburg, near Pittsburgh. Therefore, we have scheduled another E-rate
workshop for beginners in Harrisburg on November 14 at the Rachel Carson
Building (DEP), at 400 Market Street, just one block down from PDE.
If you tried to register for either the Easton or Oct. 27 Harrisburg
workshop and were put on a waiting list, you will be contacted to ask if you
would like to attend the new Nov. 14 session. There are 150 seats available
for this session. Registration should be done online at:

least 72 hours in advance.
VETERANS
I have just returned from an SLD Train the Trainers Workshop in DC where
they announced several improvements to the program, although no earth
shattering ones. If you have not already registered for one of the 5 E-rate
Workshops for Veterans, I strongly encourage you to do so, as these changes
