New 471 Display Feature Available!
Message Posted November 27, 2000
The SLD has just launched a very cool new feature on their website.... a
"display module" for 471s that have been submitted online. Previously,
after you submitted your 471, there was no way to obtain a copy of it
(unlike the Form 470 which is available for public viewing at anytime on the
SLD web site).
The feature is only available for Form 471s that were submitted online. In
addition, you must know your 471 application number as well as your security
code (provided when filing online). Because of the information needed to
access your Form, it cannot be seen by anyone except you. One reason this
is such a valuable tool is because previously when you filed online there
was no way to print an entire 471 -- you had to print each page. This year
you have two options: print the entire document one time before you submit,
or submit and then go back in using the display module and print.
Three things:
1) Yes, it works for Year 3 Form 471s as well
2) No, the SLD will not provide security codes for those of you who can't find yours.
3) No, there is no way of viewing your 471 online if you filed using the paper form.
To use the feature, go to: http://www.sl.universalservice.org/menu.asp and under the 471 column, click "display."
