Update: Entities Required to File 486

Yesterday afternoon I sent an e-mail listing the 1000 entities that were funded for Year 4 E-rate in waves 1-6. Because you were funded, you must have the 486 postmarked before Oct. 27.
Based on the numerous e-mails and calls I received since that posting, I want to clarify the list.
The list I sent is merely a list of everyone who was funded for Year 4 so far - whether you mailed your 486 yet or not. The SLD will not provide us with a list of entities that have already filed their 486 (they are really behind in data-entering them).
Sooooo, if your entity's name is on the list, and you already filed the 486, there is no need to resend anything to the SLD.
The list was merely there to jog everyone's memories who have gotten funded but may not have submitted their 486 yet.
I learned two things from that e-mail.
1) You do actually read these E-rate e-mails; and
2) Most of you are already on the ball and have submitted your 486!
