The FCC has just released the much-anticipated Eligible Services List (ESL) for Funding Year 2009 and it contains NO changes over last year. Also, the FCC has stated that the SLD may proceed with the opening of the Funding Year 2009 Form 471 filing window, but not before Tuesday, November 25. The exact window opening and closing dates likely will be released in the next few days.
Because the 2009 ESL will be the same as the 2008 ESL, this means that the additions that some had hoped for -- filtering, anti-virus/anti-spam, and broadcast messaging services -- will not be eligible for FY 2009.
