{"id":20121,"date":"2017-05-23T02:20:55","date_gmt":"2017-05-23T02:20:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/e-ratepaorg.local\/?p=20121"},"modified":"2017-05-26T02:23:19","modified_gmt":"2017-05-26T02:23:19","slug":"service-providers-file-your-fy-2017-form-473-spac-form-now","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/e-ratepa.org\/?p=20121","title":{"rendered":"Service Providers: File your FY 2017 Form 473 SPAC Form Now"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>May 23, 2017<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note: This information is for service providers, but applicants\u2019 FY 2017 BEARs cannot be submitted to USAC unless their vendors\u2019 SPACs (Form 473) have been filed with USAC for the 2017 funding year.\u00a0 Therefore, applicants may wish to forward this message to your service providers (particularly local vendors that may not follow E-rate closely).\u00a0 Applicants cannot file the Form 473 SPAC &#8212;\u00a0 this is just a form for vendors.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Service Provider Annual Certification Form (SPAC), Form 473,<\/strong>Form, must be filed each\u00a0year by service providers that participate in the E-rate program and the FY 2017 SPAC functionality just became available.\u00a0 This form must be certified USAC before USAC can pay invoices \u2013 Form 472 BEARs or Form 474 SPIs.<\/p>\n<p>The SPAC must be filed online using the vendor e-File System (paper forms will not be accepted). \u00a0Service providers with multiple Service Provider Identification Numbers (SPINs) must file a SPAC Form for each SPIN.\u00a0 A very good Form 473 Users Guide is available at: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usac.org\/_res\/documents\/sl\/pdf\/forms\/FCC-Form-473-UserGuide.pdf\" class=\"mtli_attachment mtli_pdf\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.usac.org\/_res\/documents\/sl\/pdf\/forms\/FCC-Form-473-UserGuide.pdf<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Steps:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To certify a SPAC Form, vendors must first log in to the e-File System (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.usac.org\/about\/tools\/e-file.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.usac.org\/about\/tools\/e-file.aspx<\/a>). \u00a0If a vendor doesn\u2019t have a username and password or are having trouble logging in, they should call USAC at (888) 641-8722 and choose option 3 (Schools and Libraries), then option 2 (service providers) for assistance.\u00a0 If you have multiple SPINs, you must choose\u00a0one of them (&#8220;set your SPIN&#8221;) from the list of your SPINs.<\/li>\n<li>After you set your SPIN, you will see <strong>SPAC Form<\/strong> as an option in the left-hand menu.<\/li>\n<li>The form will pre-populate much of the information required based on your identity as a user.
