{"id":23931,"date":"2018-01-10T01:49:22","date_gmt":"2018-01-10T01:49:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/e-ratepaorg.local\/?p=23931"},"modified":"2018-01-19T01:51:02","modified_gmt":"2018-01-19T01:51:02","slug":"today-is-final-day-to-update-enrollmentnslp-data-in-epc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/e-ratepa.org\/?p=23931","title":{"rendered":"Today is Final Day to Update Enrollment\/NSLP Data in EPC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>January 10, 2018<\/p>\n<p>Attached:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/e-ratepa.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/Entering-Enrollment-NSLP-Data-in-EPC-Profiles-FY-20181.pdf\" class=\"mtli_attachment mtli_pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Entering Enrollment-NSLP Data in EPC Profiles FY 2018<\/a><\/p>\n<p>This is your final reminder that today, January 10, is the final day to make changes to your school\u2019s EPC profiles!\u00a0 If you haven\u2019t yet updated the enrollment and NSLP (or CEP%) data for each of your schools, you have until 11:59 p.m. tonight to do so.\u00a0 If you need assistance updating the data, please contact me and I can help!<\/p>\n<p>The PDE DRAFT (unofficial) enrollment\/NSLP data (as of Dec. 5) is available at:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/e-ratepa.org\/?p=23291\">https:\/\/e-ratepa.org\/?p=23291<\/a>.\u00a0 This is the data that was originally submitted by each LEA on their October 2017 NSLP Claim Form (which is the month that goes into the official data file).\u00a0 \u00a0The data that you will use is on the 1<sup>st<\/sup> tab (named:\u00a0 Oct 2017 NSLP Draft Data), which contains the Enrollment and NSLP needed for each school\u2019s EPC profile.\u00a0 If a school is a CEP-participating school, they will use the Enrollment and CEP Percentage shown on the spreadsheet (note, this is technically the Identified Student Percentage, but USAC calls it the CEP Percentage).\u00a0 <em>Note:\u00a0 This data is from Dec. 5, so if you made any updates to your Oct. 2017 claim form since then, it will not show in this list.<\/em>\u00a0 Although I encourage everyone to use the October 2017 data, schools are permitted to use alternative data (such as surveys, more recent data, etc.).\u00a0 If you use data different from the Oct 2017 data, just be prepared to validate\/prove this data during PIA review.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A Few Additional Notes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>This PDE draft data only contains buildings that have students participating in the NSLP program.\u00a0 If your school does not participate in the NSLP, they still must be included in your EPC Portal and have enrollment and NSLP eligibility data entered. \u00a0If you do not have the NSLP data and cannot obtain it from other sources, you can list 0 and receive the minimum 20% E-rate discount for that school.<\/li>\n<li>Don&#8217;t forget:\u00a0 Your EPC profiles must contain <strong>ALL<\/strong> of the buildings that are receiving E-rate discounted services, including your non-instructional facilities (NIFs), such as bus barns, administration buildings, etc.\u00a0 If you have not yet added those NIF buildings into your EPC Portal, call USAC at 888-203-8100 and have them added.<\/li>\n<li>Each school&#8217;s profile page has fields for State School and LEA Codes and NCES codes.\u00a0 You are not required to enter this data. \u00a0If you choose to enter this data, and if the system gives you an error for these fields, just erase the data and hit Submit.<\/li>\n<li>Consortia will NOT enter this data for their member schools\/districts.\u00a0 In fact, they cannot enter this data for their members (it all has to be done at the district level).<\/li>\n<li>If you have any questions about your NSLP information, contact the PDE Bureau of Food and Nutrition at 717-783-6558.\u00a0 If you have questions about your CEP information, contact Eliza Hanft at <a href=\"mailto:ehanft@pa.gov\">ehanft@pa.gov<\/a>. \u00a0 If you have questions about updating your EPC school profiles, please contact me at <a href=\"mailto:jtschell@comcast.net\">jtschell@comcast.net<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Happy EPC Updating!<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;
