Attached:\u00a0FCC Waiver Request Filing Instructions<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Although I hesitate to provide this information because I can\u2019t guarantee the results, and I don\u2019t want anyone relying on it for future years, I know several PA applicants that had to file after the March 27 deadline.\u00a0 If you are in this situation, you must submit your Form 471 on or before Wednesday, April 10, 2019 \u2013 BUT ABSOLUTELY<\/strong> NO LATER THAN THIS DATE \u2013 and then submit a Request for Deadline Waiver to the FCC, seeking to have your application be considered as timely filed.\u00a0 In the last 8 years, the FCC has granted such requests, but there is no requirement that they do so.\u00a0 Please know that if, and when, the FCC grants your Waiver Request, your Form 471 application will THEN go into PIA review (likely at the end of the review queue).<\/p>\n

With these caveats in mind, please follow these exact steps, in this exact order:<\/p>\n

  1. Submit the Form 471 in EPC on or before Wednesday, April 10, 2019.\u00a0 The status will be \u2018Filed Outside of Window.\u2019<\/li>\n
  2. Download the attached \u201cForm 471 Deadline Waiver Letter\u201d and complete the highlighted areas with your specific information.\u00a0 Please include a nice statement to the FCC about what this funding means to your school or library.<\/li>\n
  3. Print on school or library letterhead.\u00a0 Sign.\u00a0 Save as .pdf document.<\/li>\n
  4. Go to: \u00a0https:\/\/www.fcc.gov\/ecfs\/filings<\/a> and follow the instructions on the attached \u201cFCC Waiver Request Filing Instructions\u201d document.\u00a0 Be sure to hit \u2018Submit\u2019 on the second page of the online form.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Note: The FCC Waiver Letter does NOT need to be submitted by April 10.\u00a0 But don\u2019t wait too long.<\/p>\n
