{"id":35259,"date":"2024-01-08T02:22:17","date_gmt":"2024-01-08T02:22:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/e-ratepaorg.local\/?p=35259"},"modified":"2024-01-11T13:00:21","modified_gmt":"2024-01-11T13:00:21","slug":"school-bus-wi-fi-rfp-template-available","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/e-ratepa.org\/?p=35259","title":{"rendered":"School Bus Wi-Fi RFP Templates Available"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\">January 8, 2024<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Attached:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/e-ratepa.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Bus-Wi-Fi-E-rate-RFP.docx\" class=\"mtli_attachment mtli_docx\" target=\"_blank\">Bus Wi-Fi E-rate RFP Template<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Attached:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/e-ratepa.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Bus-Wi-Fi-Vendor-Bid-Form.xlsx\" class=\"mtli_attachment mtli_xlsx\" target=\"_blank\">Bus Wi-Fi Vendor Bid Template<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Attached:\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/e-ratepa.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/Bid-Evaluation-Matrix-Template-Bus-Wi-Fi.xlsx\" class=\"mtli_attachment mtli_xlsx\" target=\"_blank\">Bus Wi-Fi Bid Evaluation Template<\/a><\/p>\n<p>To assist schools applying for school bus Wi-Fi, and because the Form 470 system requires an RFP to be uploaded for this equipment and service, we have drafted the attached RFP template.<\/p>\n<p>The RFP template is comprised of two documents \u2013 the RFP (Word) and the Vendor Bid Submission Form (Excel).\u00a0 Both RFP documents should be customized for your specific needs.\u00a0 For example, if you already have equipment and only need services, simply delete the equipment sections from both the RFP and the vendor bid submission form or indicate N\/A.\u00a0 Likewise, you can add any additional information or questions for vendors in the \u201cAdditional Details for Bidders\u201d section of the RFP and also modify the \u201cadditional requirements for vendors\u201d section.<\/p>\n<p>Also attached is a Bid Evaluation Template that you can customize to meet your specific needs.\u00a0 You may add additional evaluation factors, but price must be the most heavily weighted.<\/p>\n<p>At a minimum, schools should complete the information at the top of the RFP and provide quantities of buses needing service and\/or service.\u00a0 You also are strongly encouraged to provide a map or information explaining the geographic area in which the buses will need Wi-Fi service.<\/p>\n<p>Below are instructions for how to file the Form 470.\u00a0 When we have information for filing the Form 471 for bus Wi-Fi funding requests, I\u2019ll let you know.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Filing the FCC Form 470:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Issue a separate Form 470 for bus Wi-Fi service and use the nickname: \u201cSchool Bus Wi-Fi Service\u201d or \u201cSchool Bus Wi-Fi Service and Equipment.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Upload an RFP document to EPC when starting a bus Wi-Fi Form 470.<\/li>\n<li>Suggested Form 470 narrative language: \u201cSeeking bids for wireless school bus service and (if applicable) associated equipment to make the service functional to provide Wi-Fi.\u00a0 See RFP for additional information.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Use these Form 470 Drop Down Selections, regardless of whether you\u2019re seeking just monthly service or both equipment and service.\u00a0 The RFP is where you\u2019ll list the details of what you need.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-35261\" src=\"https:\/\/e-ratepa.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/addnewservicereq.png\" alt=\"addnewservicereq\" width=\"1187\" height=\"307\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Additional bus Wi-Fi rules and eligibility can be found at:\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/e-ratepa.org\/?p=35231\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/e-ratepa.org\/?p%3D35231&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1705025759151000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2OygeJDmFEZ7IVSc3Jbv02\">https:\/\/e-ratepa.org\/?p=35231<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8212;
