By my calculations, about 150 PA entities still have to file before tomorrow\u2019s midnight deadline.\u00a0 If you haven\u2019t yet started the 471, please do so today!\u00a0 If you cannot make the March 27 deadline, please contact me as soon as possible so we can discuss your options.\u00a0 Also, attached is a summary of every FRN requested as of last night, along with the current FRN status (highlighted).<\/p>\n

Final words of wisdom:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1 —\u00a0You must file a Form 471 every year to request funding for recurring services \u2013 even if you\u2019re in a multi-year contract.\u00a0 There’s no such thing as a multi-year E-rate funding commitment.<\/p>\n

2 \u2013 Support SKUs (maintenance) for Internal Connections must be filed on a separate FRN.<\/p>\n

3 \u2013 If a SKU has no cost, or you are not requesting E-rate discounts on it, leave it off your Form 471 entirely.<\/p>\n

4 \u2013 Don\u2019t use the Save & Share or Send for Certification Buttons on the Form 471.\u00a0 It will take the application out of your EPC portal and send to all other EPC Users for your entity.\u00a0 You\u2019ll find yourself frantic wondering why your application disappeared.<\/p>\n

5 \u2013 There\u2019s no way to upload a contract amendment into EPC.\u00a0 Don\u2019t create a new Contract Record.\u00a0 You can mention in the FRN narrative if your contract was amended and PIA will reach out for a copy of the amendment if they need it.<\/p>\n
