With the FY2026 Form 471, this is the first time we\u2019ve been required to select the preferred Invoicing Method (BEAR or SPI) when creating each funding request.\u00a0 I\u2019m currently receiving questions about how to correct this when the wrong method was selected.\u00a0 The easiest option is to submit a RAL Modification to make the correction prior to receiving the funding letter.\u00a0 I\u2019ve created a quick, step-by-step guide to walk you through the process, which you can access by clicking on\u00a0RAL Correction – Steps to Change Invoicing Method<\/a>.\u00a0 Your Form 471 will then be flagged to notify the PIA reviewer that a correction is needed.\u00a0 If the reviewer asks if the correction is based on a ministerial or clerical error, respond with \u201cYes\u201d.\u00a0 If there is a text box to provide additional information, simply state \u201cA clerical error was made when selecting the Invoicing Method.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Please let me know if you have any questions or need assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Take care and hope you have a great weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Lorrie<\/p>\n\n\n\n Lorrie Germann<\/em><\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n
