USAC has announced the postponement of the scheduled August 10th transition to SAM.gov banking information to perform additional testing and validation.\u00a0 Once a new transition date is determined, USAC will share that information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
August invoices will continue to be paid using USAC’s current process, using the banking information included on the FCC Form 498. USAC stated they will provide an update in early September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Continue to Prepare for the Coming Transition<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n E-Rate applicants who use the Billed Entity Applicant Reimbursement (BEAR) invoicing method should still promptly complete the SAM.gov registration process, if not already done, and add their active Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) to their FCC Form 498. Note: the SAM.gov registration process can take up to six weeks to complete. Also, the UEI must be renewed annually to remain active.<\/p>\n\n\n\n After the transition, any E-Rate BEAR filer without a completed SAM.gov registration and an active UEI on their FCC Form 498 can still submit BEAR forms in EPC but won’t receive reimbursement until they complete the SAM.gov and UEI processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For step-by-step instructions on updating\/modifying the existing Form 498, or how to file a new Form 498 if there is no current approved form in EPC, I\u2019ve provided a guide you can access by clicking on Form-498-Filing \u2013 Updating-Guide-UEI & Banking Info<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you have questions or need additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
