~ Helpful timeline attached<\/a> ~<\/p>\n The SLD has\u00a0announced that the Funding Year 2015 E-rate Form 471 filing window\u00a0will open at noon on Wednesday, January 14, 2015\u00a0and will close at 11:59 p.m. EST on Thursday, March 26, 2015.<\/p>\n The absolute final day to post a Form 470 is February 26, which will give you exactly 24 hours to open bids, sign contracts, and file the new, complex Form 471.\u00a0 DO NOT WAIT UNTIL FEBRUARY TO FILE ANY FORM 470!!!!!\u00a0 Although haven’t seen the new online 471, I understand that with the new snazzy format comes numerous new questions and requirements that will make filing at the last minute extremely difficult.\u00a0 Please file your Form 470 before you leave for the holidays to get your 28-day clock ticking.\u00a0 Then you can evaluate your proposals in February, select a vendor, obtain board approval (if needed) and submit your Form 471 in late February or early March.<\/p>\n Having trouble keeping track of the different filing dates?\u00a0 Attached is an updated E-rate timeline that shows each step of the E-rate program and the associated filing deadlines for FY 2013, 2014, and 2015.<\/p>\n Happy Filing!<\/p>\n — Julie<\/p>\n Julie Tritt Schell 717-730-7133 – o penn*link<\/p>\n\n
