State E-rate Coordination Update!

September 30, 2025

Hello, E-raters!

I am writing with exciting news about E-rate coordination in Pennsylvania – we are growing!  Beginning tomorrow, Lorrie Germann will be joining the PA E-rate Coordination Team.

Lorrie knows E-rate inside and out and loves the program just as much as I do.  She has been involved with E-rate since the program’s inception in 1998, starting as an E-rate applicant while she was an IT director at a public school district in Ohio, and then moving to become the Ohio State E-rate Coordinator in 2008.

Lorrie also has Pennsylvania experience, having filed for E-rate on behalf of an IU RWAN consortium and several schools and libraries, in addition to conducting several PA training sessions for me last fall.  She is currently Vice Chair of the State E‑Rate Coordinators’ Alliance (SECA), and is a member of the American Library Association (ALA) E-rate Task Force, and the Schools, Healthcare, Libraries Broadband Coalition (SHLB).  She is immersed in all things E-Rate!

Lorrie will be responding to your inquiries and requests for assistance, conducting trainings, sending listserve messages, updating the http://www.e-ratepa.org website, and helping PA schools and libraries be E-rate successes.  I will remain part of the PA E-rate Team, assisting with complex and challenging issues, coordinating state-level initiatives such as PEPPM and NSLP/CEP, and continuing to represent PA schools and libraries at the state and federal level.

I know you will find that Lorrie is patient, responsive and offers timely and reliable guidance.  She is also one of the kindest people I have ever met.  I am confident that her addition to the PA E-rate coordination team will continue the high caliber of support upon which the Commonwealth’s school, library and consortia applicants have been able to rely for the last 27 years.

Lorrie can be reached by e-mail at lgermann@e-ratepa.org (be sure to white-list this e-mail address) or by phone at (717) 576-2737.  I look forward to introducing you to Lorrie at the fall trainings which are beginning in two weeks.   In the meantime, please join me in welcoming Lorrie Germann to the PA E-rate Team!
