E-Rate Portal Sending Out “Create Form 471” Emails

You may receive an email from the EPC portal with the subject line “New Task: Create FCC Form 471”. This can happen if you have any incomplete Form 471’s in the system. To check whether that’s the case, simply click “Tasks” in the blue menu bar. If you do have incomplete forms, make sure to discard them to stop receiving these emails. You can find the task listed as “Create Form 471” along with the application number/nickname. Just click on the task and accept it if prompted. Once you’re in the application, you’ll see the “Discard Form” button in the lower-left corner of the screen.  Once the incomplete forms are discarded, the emails will stop.
