Time is Running Short to Post a Form 470 for FY 2015

~ 51 Districts Have Not Filed a 470 ~

In theory, the last day a Form 470 may be posted is February 26, which would give you 1 day to open bids, sign contracts and submit the new Form 471 on the March 26 Form 471 deadline. 

In practice, it is extremely unlikely you would have enough time to complete your Form 471 by the deadline if you wait until February 26 to file.  This year’s form requires you to provide a lot more information and data — such as all of your Item 21 data that you used to be able to submit after filing the Form 471.

If you plan to submit your Form 470 this year, put this on the top of your priority list for early this week!

There are 51 school districts listed below that have not yet filed a Category 1 (telecom and Internet) Form 470 for FY 2015 (more than last year).  If your district’s name is on this list, it means that no Form 470 has been posted yet and (based on your FY 2014 Form 471 filing) your district has at least one service that is either MTM or is under a contract that expires June 30, 2015.   Therefore, if your district’s name is on the list, you must file a Form 470 ASAP!   If you’ve decided to opt out of applying for cellular service because of the added work involved, and/or the reduced discount rate, please let me know so I can note that in your file and remove you from this list.
