Quick Survey: E-rate Funding for Additional Internet

Good afternoon, E-raters,

I participated in a call this afternoon with FCC officials to discuss the need allow schools to apply for additional E-rate funding for on-campus Internet access.  During this call we explained that when schools submitted Form 471s in March and April, their applications didn’t anticipate the additional Internet bandwidth that would be needed to reopen schools.  The FCC is seeking data to support this request.  Therefore, I need your quick help…

If you have increased or will be increasing your Internet bandwidth over what was requested on your FY 2020 Form 471, please take 2 minutes and complete this very brief survey if you haven’t done so already - https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/moreinternet.  It simply asks what additional amount of on-campus, E-rate eligible Internet you’ve purchased (or expect you will be purchasing) due to COVID, the cost, and why it’s needed.

Please submit the survey by Tuesday, August 26 at 4:00 at the latest.
