ECF Window 2 Application Summary Data

The official dataset of what was requested in the ECF Filing Window 2 has been released and I am pleased to report that demand in the second ECF window is $1.3 billion – below the total available funding of $2 billion.  This means there is enough ECF funding available to cover all eligible applications filed in both Window 1 and Window 2.  It is not yet clear what the FCC will decide to do with the remaining $700 million, but I would be surprised if they decided to open a 3rd Window for the FY 2021 funding year.

Attached is a spreadsheet showing all of the equipment and services requested in Window 2, where each row represents a single FRN Line Item.  This data does not show funding commitments – just what ECF funding was requested in the second filing window.  ECF funding waves appear to be released about every two weeks.
