Form 471 Window Dates Set for FY 2015

The SLD has announced that the Funding Year 2015 E-rate Form 471 filing window will open at noon on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 and will close at 11:59 p.m. EST on Thursday, March 26, 2015.
The absolute final day to post a Form 470 is February 26, which will give you exactly 24 hours to open bids, sign contracts, and file the new, complex Form 471. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL FEBRUARY TO FILE ANY FORM 470!!!!! Although haven’t seen the new online 471, I understand that with the new snazzy format comes numerous new questions and requirements that will make filing at the last minute extremely difficult. Please file your Form 470 before you leave for the holidays to get your 28-day clock ticking. Then you can evaluate your proposals in February, select a vendor, obtain board approval (if needed) and submit your Form 471 in late February or early March.
