These PA Schools Haven’t Logged Into EPC Yet

USAC has just provided me with a list of the public and nonpublic schools in PA that have not yet logged into the new E-rate EPC Portal (87 total, 35 are districts, which isn’t bad!). In order to apply for E-rate funding for FY 2016 (and to submit FY 2015 BEARs for reimbursement), schools MUST be registered in EPC. Listed below are the entities whose Account Administrators (AAs) have not created their password AND accepted their Terms and Conditions upon logging into EPC for the first time. As a reminder, USAC assigned each entity’s AA as the person who signed your FY 2015 Form 471. It doesn’t have to be this person and can be changed to anyone in your school that has the authority to sign forms (can’t be a consultant).
If your entity’s name is on the list, please take these steps ASAP:
1) Open the attached excel file to see who at your school is listed as the AA for your entity. If it is not the person who should be the AA for your school, call USAC’s Client Services Bureau (888-203-8100) and explain that the wrong person for your school is listed in their system and you need to have the AA changed to another person. They should give you a person’s first name and a case # to reference.
2) Complete the attached letter, print on school letterhead/sign, and e-mail to sldpr@gdit.com. Reference the case # and the person’s name in the subject line of your e-mail. This is important so your request will be directed to the right person.
3) Within two business days, the new AA should receive a separate invitation email with the subject line “USAC EPC Account Creation.” If you do not receive the email, please check your junk or spam folder. Then follow these steps:
> Go to EPC using the link in your email, or typing the URL https://portal.usac.org/ into your browser.
> Click Accept.
> On the login screen, click Reset Your Password.
> Enter your Username (your e-mail address) and click Request Password Reset.
The system will send you an email message with a different URL.
> Click the URL from the new email message (or paste it into your browser). Please note this URL expires after 15 minutes.
> Follow the instructions to create your password.
> Log in to EPC.
> Click the link in the welcome message to view the terms and conditions.
> This takes you to your Tasks page and you will have a task to view your terms and conditions. Click the task.
> Review the terms and conditions and click “Accept” at the bottom of the page.
