FY 2014, Wave 18 E-rate Funding Commitments

September 8, 2014

~ No P2 Funding Available for FY 2014 ~

Congratulations to the following 4 Pennsylvania schools that will be receiving FY 2014, Wave 18 E-rate Funding Commitment Letters, totaling $31,037.07.  A summary of each commitment is listed below.  All FY 2014 correspondence will be sent in BLUE.

A wave will be arriving every week until the FY 2014 funding is exhausted. This wave consists of requests for Priority 1 services (telecom and Internet).  If you were not funded in this wave for Priority 1, don’t worry!  There are many, many more waves coming, and your commitment will be in one of the upcoming waves.  Please note:  USAC has begun mailing “insufficient funding” letters to FY 2014 Priority 2 applicants.  This marks the second year that no P2 funding was available at any discount level.

The next step for those entities funded in Waves 1-18 will be to file the Form 486 which tells the SLD it’s OK to pay invoices and that you are CIPA compliant. The deadline to file the Form 486 is 120 days from the date of your funding commitment letter or October 28, 2014, whichever is later.  If you’re unsure how to file the Form 486 or which boxes to check, please refer to the Form 486 Guide at http://e-ratepa.org/?p=1205.

If you have any questions, please contact me at jtschell@comcast.net.  Congratulations to these 4 PA applicants!
